JOB TITLE: Digital Designer – part time, long term contract
LOCATION: Boston, MA
PAY RATE: $45ph - $50ph max / W2
START DATE: asap
DURATION: 6 months with possible conversation to perm
HOURS: 20 hours per week, ad hoc (will eventually turn into 40 hours per week in January 2025)
JOB SUMMARY:
This role will innovate and elevate the eCommerce shopper experience by creating strategic, visually captivating work that embodies the brand voice. The Digital Designer will work within a dedicated in-house eCommerce creative team responsible for building business driving creative that engages and converts shoppers across online eCommerce retail platforms within the Americas.
Responsibilities:
· Develop high-quality, compelling creative for retail eCommerce that is grounded in brand, shopper, and consumer insights
· Collaborate with key stakeholders to produce business-driving, portfolio-worthy creative that delivers on the project brief and adheres to both LEGO Brand guidelines and retailer-specific requirements
- Support the team by managing project timelines and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines, while assisting in the day-to-day project management process
- Present creative concepts and designs to internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback and iterating as needed to achieve desired outcomes
· Proactively observe, investigate, unearth new insights that lead to new business and creative opportunities
· Adapt and localize creative for different markets, ensuring consistency with global campaigns while maintaining relevance within the Americas.
· Responsible for end-to-end creative development – from ideation to production
· Monitor retail sites and competitive activity to identify trends and assess opportunities for improvement and differentiation
REQUIREMENTS:
· Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field: or equivalent working experience
· 5+ years’ experience in eCommerce/Digital design
· Strong portfolio demonstrating impactful work and a high standard of design excellence
· Experience developing digital creative for Amazon, Walmart, and Target
· Understanding of eCommerce, with experiencing developing creative for retail sites within consumer-packaged goods and/or children’s category.
· Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
· Project management experience, with proven ability to manage multiple projects, multi-task across multiple pieces of business and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
· Collaborative, team oriented but also ambitious, curious, independent, not afraid to challenge the status quo and comfortable with ambiguity
· Mature, thoughtful, well-rounded problem solver who can balance pushing for creative excellence while also meeting business objectives
